Windy Day in the ADK

This painting started out as a water soluble graphite pencil mini tutorial on Artists’ Network.

It quickly morphed into a Graphitint painting as I don’t have plain water soluble graphite pencils but I do have those nice tinted ones.

Since I had colored graphite I decided to use my imagination and the appropriate pencil colors in the set.

Then I really wanted the water to wash up onto a beach so used some free photo references, added a bit of watercolor and used white pastel for the spray and foam.
